Elizabeth (Betty)(GG) Arlene Wasser, 94, August 24-1922-October 8, 2016, went to be with her Lord and husband, Dayton who can finally hear her now. Elizabeth (Betty)(GG) Arlene Wasser, 94, August 24-1922-October 8, 2016, went to be with her Lord and husband, Dayton who can finally hear her now. She was predeceased also by her parents, John & Mary (Will) Howard; siblings, Rita Howard, Lois Howard, Juanita & Donald Leighton, Mary & Ned Scott, John & Catherine Howard, She is survived by her siblings, Evelyn Howard, Elaine & William Dusold; sisters-in-law, Gladys Wasser, Ann Wasser, and Janice Mix; children, David Wasser & Sandra Watkins, Beverly Camp, Dennis & Diane Wasser, Deborah & Edward Kika; grandchildren, Amy & Jennifer Kessler, Sarah Wasser, Brian Wasser, Christina Camp, Brianne Camp, Aubrey & Chase Cole, Brendan Wasser, Erin Kika, Edward Kika, Brian & Jennifer Kika, Robert & Lori Kika; great grandchildren, Emerson Kessler, James Fendick, Thomas Fendick, Thomas Kika, Braden Kika; great-great granddaughter, Briella Fendick. She was very spiritual, had a strong faith and was a member of Ross Memorial Church in Binghamton. She was born in Johnson City NY, graduated from Newark Valley School District. She retired in 2001 at the age of 78 as a long time employee at the Chenango Forks School District at the John Harshaw school in the library. She loved her job as a library aide and reading to the children. Her love of reading was an inspiration to her children and grandchildren. Betty was a avid baker and was renowned, especially for her apple pies at school and church. Throughout her life she was always kind and supportive and never spoke ill of anyone. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Wm. R Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Ross Memorial Church. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
